Library Learning Centre- General Information
Mission Statement
The Library Learning Centre (LLC) aims to support both the learning and social needs of students and teachers, promote a positive reading culture across the school, as well as promote lifelong learning for all.
Both students and teachers can use the LLC and its extensive resources. Students and teacher are able to access books, ebooks, magazines, newspapers, computers, printers and laminators. In addition to these, teachers have the ability to book spaces such as the computer area (which contains 21 networked computers), up to 10 laptops, a range of DVDs and other professional and teaching resources.
Opening hours
At Ashcroft High School we understand that our facilities and resources are used extensively. As a result we are open before, during and after school. Teachers are also able to bring students to use our resources during period 1-5 classes.
Loans
Students are able to borrow 2 fiction and 2 non-fiction titles for a period of 2 weeks. Year 11 and year 12 also have access to the Preliminary and HSC resources.
Computers
Students have access to 21 computers before, during and after school. These computers can be used for either study or leisure activities however priority is given to those students who are working on assignments or research.
